KYLIE CRANDALL
Playing Career:
Coach Kylie started playing softball at 7 years old. She continued to play in high school and for the travel team Lady sharks. During her high school career she played shortstop and pitcher and won two MVP awards. During Travel Ball she was also a pitcher but got additional work as a utility player, playing outfield and infield positions.
Coach Kylie Continued to play after high school for Foothill College where she was the main pitcher, and a two time award winner of both the MVP award as well as making 2nd team all conference her first year and making 1st team all conference her last and final year. She still holds multiple records at Foothill college such as: Most innings pitched in a season and most strikeouts in a single game with 14. Her specialty strikeout pitch was her riseball.
Kylie transferred to NDNU and made their Fall ball Roster but decided to hang up her cleats and focus on her career and coaching.
Coaching Career:
Coach Kylie has been coaching for 10 years. She started her coaching career as the varsity assistant coach and programs pitching coach for Mountain View high School.
She then went back to foothill college to become part of a 5 person coaching staff and 1 of the 2 pitching coaches. She stayed there for 3 seasons and continued to give 1 on 1 pitching lessons as well as group training and clinics on and off for the past 8 years.
Most recently she has been coaching the NorCal Valley Stompers travel team for the past 3 years and coached Burlingame High School's JV team this past 2022 spring season.
My pitching specialty is working on power and using your legs, as well as fixing habits or problem areas if needed. I love to teach movement pitches but feel a pitcher really needs to understand each pitch as she learns them. I emphasize the importance of implementing tools in your warm up.
