Hi everybody, I am Jakob Van Blaricom and I currently playing baseball at Diablo Valley Junior College. I am originally from Reno and have experienced a lot of adversity throughout my career so far. I hit left handed and haven’t ever been the biggest kid on any team which has taught me how to do the little things right so I can still stand out. The most important part of hitting is the mental side which is something that I really take pride in when playing ball. You have to learn how to deal with failure and move forward every single day trying to get better. I feel I can help young players excel mentally and physically when it comes to all aspects of baseball but especially in hitting. I have been around the game ever since I was a child and constantly find myself just critiquing or trying to perfect the art of hitting. My goal as an instructor is for me to help bring out the absolute best of a kids ability while making sure that they are enjoying and loving the game of baseball.
